Abstract: 
This session investigates the impact of task types to schedule and project design. Topics will include but are not limited to:
a.       Interrelativity: duration, units, and work are not the same thing, yet they are related as the main variables of project’s scheduling engine.
b.      Predicting behavior of fixing one of the variable while changing another.
c.      Selecting a task type as a default.
d.      Modeling project behavior with the use of task types.
e.      How task types aid estimating.
Key Learning Objectives: 
After attending the session the attendee should understand the Task Types and the concept of Effort Driven. The attendee should also be able to select a default task type that best represents their organization's estimation and tracking abilities.
Proposed Demos:  The demonstration and lab will walk through each Task Type and Effort Driven setting to illustrate their effects on duration, work, or units of resource required by the task.
