Abstract: 
Traditionally PPM tools have been used to manage discretionary investments that represent 25% of the IT budget. Join this session to learn how the UMT IT 360 solution, powered by Project Server 2010, will help you gain visibility and control across entire IT Asset Portfolio and effectively manage 100% of the IT Budget.

This session will be delivered by Matt Light VP Research from Gartner and Ben Chamberlain SVP of Product Marketing at UMT.
Matt founded the project and portfolio management community at Gartner and along with Dan Stang has been responsible for publishing the annual IT PPM Magic Quadrant that has accurately predicted the evolution of PPM.

First, Matt will address three main questions:

• How the IT PPM space has evolved over the last decade
• Why Gartner decided to refocus the 2011 IT PPM Magic Quadrant to report on Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis (IIPA) applications
• What are the main benefits you can expect to achieve from adopting Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis techniques and best practices?

Next, Ben will provide an overview of UMT’s new IT 360 solution which is powered by Project Server 2010 and UMT Project Essentials. The solution helps IT Executives to enhance application and asset lifecycle decisions, identify all lights on and discretionary projects and model and control the entire IT Budget.

• Create an inventory of applications IT assets (applications, servers, etc.), projects and services
