Session Title:  YJTJ (Your Job Tool’s Job)™ – Working in Concert with Microsoft Project
Speaker(s), Company:  Daniel Renier , Milestone Consulting Group
Track:  Product Session
Session Code:  PC342
Presented By:  Partner
Level:  300
Audience:
Product(s):  Project
Solution:  Scheduling
Abstract:
Microsoft Project is indeed a scheduling tool, and a powerful one at that. Therefore, a good mindset for allowing Microsoft Project to be a scheduling tool is warranted. The YJTJ Process is designed to provide that mindset by providing project managers with the ability to work in concert with, as opposed to in conflict with, Microsoft Project. The YJTJ concepts provide the foundational building blocks that enable successful project, resource, and portfolio management. Mastering the YJTJ process will greatly assist you with using Microsoft Project on a day-to-day basis. Please join Dan Renier from Milestone Consulting for an exciting presentation, initially created in September 2004 for the Microsoft Project Global Customer Advisory Council. This presentation has been requested by Microsoft for the 2012 Microsoft Project Conference as well as numerous global and local Microsoft, PMI, and MPUG conferences since 2004.

Key Learning Objectives:
(1) To gain an understanding of a proven, highly effective process for working successfully with Microsoft Project. (2) To learn to work in concert with, as opposed to in conflict with, Microsoft Project! (3) To create a bond between project managers through a uniform understanding and approach to schedule management irrespective of individual Microsoft Project and project management skills.
Proposed Demos:  Approximately 90% of the presentation will be in Microsoft Project. Demonstrations will highlight Milestone's YJTJ process through each phase of a project life cycle.
