Abstract:
Timesheets are a critical component of Microsoft Project Server 2010. They enable timely task status updates and provide vital financial information to the organization. Timesheets touch virtually every member of a Project organization, and hence simplifying and streamlining the timesheet experience is a key driver for adoption of Microsoft Project Server 2010 in most organizations.

The Microsoft 2010 Project Web App (PWA) Timesheet is much more customizable then previous versions. The ability to customize the timesheet experience is crucial when migrating team members from legacy time reporting tools to the PWA Timesheet. The ability to emulate features of legacy time reporting applications in the PWA Timesheet provides an easier transition for every timesheet user and minimizes training requirements, allows upstream applications like reporting and financial applications to remain untouched, and provides support for crucial regulatory features and functions.

Join us for this session if you have completed, or are planning an implementation of, or a migration to Microsoft Project Server 2010 and you are interested in tailoring the timesheet experience to your organization’s requirements or if you just want to understand the breadth of what is possible in extending the Project Web App Timesheet functionality.

In this session Dave Fischer from Milestone Consulting Group will discuss Noridian Mutual Insurance Company's business requirements for migrating to the PWA timesheet from WorkForce (a highly complex time reporting solution) in a regulatory environment. Dave will demonstrate several Project 2010 timesheet customizations that greatly improve the timesheet experience for team members by delivering WorkForce features and supporting important CMS regulations. Dave will also demo functionality delivered to support financie's requirements for week and month-end processing and reporting. Mark Nygaard from Milestone Consulting Group will be on hand to discuss technical aspects of the timesheet solution and assist with answering technical questions.
